The Kicky News of Dwayne Johnson: Loses a Role to His Fellow Action Superstar, Tom Cruise

Dwayne Johnson mostly known as ‘The Rock’ spent some time on Instagram to cheer us up in these hard times of lockdown.

On Friday, Rock took his Instagram to candidly answer a fan question and found time to talk about the upcoming movie Hobbs and Shaw 2. Here is one question which he answered.

” Was There a Movie Role You Really Wanted but Lost to Another Actor?”

“Great Question Regarding My Career in Film”, He Said.

Yeah, he wanted and also lost to another actor.

What’s the Role and Who Is the Actor?

Johnson said, ” In Hollywood, actors are kind of like in-a-box. There are actors that can vie for a particular role because it allows them to have a certain look, skin colour, size, etc. Fortunately, for me, there aren’t a lot of guys at all who look like me. So, all of my roles, from the beginning of my career, I’ve been a lucky son of a bitch that they’ve been created and designed for me — except Jack Reacher.“

He Lost the Role of Jack Reacher to Tom Cruise

And he added ” Now, this was ten years ago, and I was in a much different place, I recognise that. Tom was the biggest movie star in the world, and I was not. I got a call saying ‘hey, you didn’t get the role’ look, I didn’t even know if I had a shot for it, but people around me at that time made me think I did. I felt like I did, I felt like ‘why not me?'”.

He said in a pretty good manner about the loss if a character which is really wished for.

Also, he said, he belive that if the universe closed a door, it opens another door and for him, it is Hobbs and Shaw. Johnson appeared in Fast five. If he was selected as Jack Reacher, could we see him as Hobbs??

In that case, we should thank god for everything happened.

Johnson also shared some new news about the Hobbs and Shaw sequel. He said they are creating a character which they think we all will fall in love with.
